Our Story: Purpose & Vision

Who we are at Heart of Texas Therapy Services

We were born out of a successful private practice, and after 20 years of experience in this field.

It all started in College Station, Texas, through the experience of a dislike, a wish, and a realization.

  • A strong dislike of having to put people who were wanting immediate help on an already way-too-long waitlist.

  • A wish for more skilled and full-hearted clinicians with availability to meet those needs and demand.

  • A realization that many areas in Texas suffer inadequate access to mental health care, particularly when individuals want to use their health insurance.

So, in 2023, and after many, many, many, many hours of planning, preparing, and building the infrastructure of the business, Heart of Texas Therapy Services, PLLC, was born.

Our Purpose

To provide excellent, evidence-based therapy for those seeking help and support.

To make therapy accessible and convenient for anyone, anywhere in the state of Texas.

To provide a virtual space where both client and clinician are valued.

Our Vision

Bringing transformative influence and change to the lives of the people we serve.

Providing a workspace where therapists are well cared for and valued.

Empowering therapists with the tools and education to grow.

Our Principles

We provide research-backed telehealth therapy rooted in compassion and the art of deep, human care.

By partnering with insurance providers, we expand access to high-quality, in-network care.

We walk with our clients—helping them move toward the life they hope to create.

Currently, in Texas, there is a severe shortage of therapists compared to the demand and need for them.

While our services are available to anyone in Texas, we specifically target advertising
to areas in Texas that are designated as
Health Provider Shortage Areas (HPSA’s)
by the Texas Health and Human Services Department.
